FIFA announced the four pots that will distribute the 32 participating teams in the draw to compete against the world's most important countries on December 1st, which will take place at the Kremlin Palace in Moscow.
Pot 1: Russia, Germany, Brazil, Portugal, Argentina, Belgium, Poland and France
The first pot includes Russia (host country), Germany, Brazil, Portugal, Argentina, Belgium, Poland and France.
Pot 2: Spain, Peru, Switzerland, England, Colombia, Mexico, Uruguay and Croatia
The second pot consists of Spain, Peru, Switzerland, England, Colombia, Mexico, Uruguay and Croatia.
Pot 3: Denmark, Iceland, Costa Rica, Sweden, Tunisia, Egypt, Senegal and Iran

Peru avoids facing strong teams in the group stage
It is worth noting that, being in pot 2, Peru will not face Spain, Switzerland, England, Colombia, Mexico, Uruguay, or Croatia.
