Chile could not beat Mexico in the second match of the Copa America.

La Roja could have secured their spot in the quarterfinals on Monday but the draw didn't allow it.

The players seem calm. They say they have improved compared to what happened against Ecuador, even though the result was worse.

At least that's how Jean Beausejour reflects it, who took the time to analyze the draw against the Aztecs.

"It would have been ideal to secure the qualification to the next round today," said the Colo Colo player. "It didn't happen, but we have the first chance to win the group."

Against the Tri, Chile looked much better in the second half than in the first. Whether it's a coincidence or not, it was when Jorge Sampaoli switched from three to four defenders.

"The thing is, the opponent also proposes. Anyway, the remarkable thing is that we overcame it," said the former Cobreloa player.

In fact, for the two-time World Cup player, what La Roja has achieved is a merit: "Not all teams have the character to turn an adverse situation around."

In the end, Beausejour projected what's coming for Chile and said that the draw leaves them with "many positive things. We have improved compared to Ecuador. The Copa America has been very competitive."
