Title:
On Saturday, November 4th, Michael Bisping will put his middleweight title on the line against Georges St. Pierre. Both fighters have spoken a lot about this great fight that will headline the exciting UFC 217 event.
The champion recently talked again about his possible retirement, as he has previously mentioned that this could be his last fight, stating that he would be proud of his career if it was. He also mentioned that he does this to take care of his three children, whom he loves more than anything.
"I am the father of three children and I love them more than anything. I do this to take care of them. This fight is just another day at the office. I couldn't care less about my opponent. I am going to make money and secure a good future for my family. But who knows? Maybe this will be my last fight. I will see how I feel afterwards. I am 38 years old and there are many things outside the octagon. I love doing this but you can't do it forever. I have defeated Dan Henderson, Anderson Silva, and I will defeat Georges St. Pierre. They are three of the best fighters in UFC history. I would retire very proud"
Now the English fighter talks about his future, indicating that his next title defense, assuming he defeats the Canadian, he wants it to be in Manchester. It is worth mentioning that the champion has never lost on British soil.
"If I can choose, I want my next fight to be in Manchester. It could be in February in Australia, but I am not very interested in fighting there. My wife is Australian and I have fought there three or four times in my career. Although with Robert Whittaker as a contender, it makes sense"
The interim champion Robert Whittaker has been promoting UFC 221 that will take place in Australia next February. He is currently recovering from an injury, but he is positioned as the next contender.
