After a successful tour in Spain, France and Portugal, the bullfighter from La Laguna, Arturo Gilio Quintero, has returned to Mexico and will continue his good performance in the national territory. He will be presenting himself on November 2nd in Juan Aldama, Zacatecas.
Just a year ago, his father, Arturo Gilio Hamdan, came out of retirement to bullfight in the Monumental de Zacatecas, alongside the rejoneador Rodrigo Santos in a benefit celebration.
The event will be a mixed bullfight, as Gilio will alternate with the Mexican Antonio Lomelín and the Colombian Luis Miguel Castrillón. The latter has been training in the Coliseo Centenario de Torreón and tenting in Rancho El Peñolito, located on the outskirts of Gómez Palacio.
This was announced by Rafael Cortés Montalvo, spokesperson for the Coliseo Centenario de Torreón, who is also close to Gilio Quintero.
As for Lomelín, heir to a renowned name in Bullfighting, he arrives preceded by resounding triumphs in Colombia and Venezuela, earning points to aim for future performances in the Plaza de Toros México.
The bullfighter from Torreón, Arturo Gilio Quintero, comes from bullfighting in Spain, where he made his debut without picadors in the second school, cut ears in Portugal and France, and is now back in Mexico to try to demonstrate what he has learned and aim for appearances in top-class bullrings.
