On the 49th minute of the second half, Sebastian Coates scored an own goal after a cross from Lionel Messi on the right side.
The ball reached Sporting Lisbon's area and was disputed by Luis Suárez and Sebastian Coates. Barcelona's striker managed to deflect the ball but it hit the body of the Uruguayan and thus managed to beat goalkeeper Ruí Patricio.
