Welsh selector Chris Coleman advises Gareth Bale to stay at Real Madrid and not go to the Premier League
The selector of Wales, Chris Coleman, has recommended to his compatriot Gareth Bale, star of the British team, that he stays at Real Madrid and does not go to the Premier League, since La Liga is a competition "physically less tough".
"From the point of view of the Welsh selector, I prefer him to stay at Real Madrid. La Liga is a competition of great quality, but it is less physically demanding than the Premier", said Coleman, in a statement to the British channel Sky Sports.
"The Premier League is the toughest tournament on the planet. Footballers end up completely exhausted halfway through the competition. Physically, it demands a lot from you; La Liga is different", pointed out the Welsh coach. "Personally, I would like him to stay there (at Real Madrid) and I think he will, although I haven't talked to him about it. Whatever he does, I fully support him", declared Coleman.
