Barcelona goalkeeper praises Mexican rival Guillermo Ochoa’s abilities
Marc-André Ter Stegen, goalkeeper for Barcelona, acknowledged the skills of his Mexican colleague Guillermo Ochoa during an interview, where he was asked about rival players he has developed a friendly bond with.
"I don't have any specific friends among rivals, but one rival I liked was Guillermo Ochoa from Granada. I didn't know him and he is very good, then I met him again in the Confederations Cup and it was a pleasure. I liked the rival and the atmosphere in Granada," said Stegen.
Previously, Ochoa had faced criticism for his performance and his recent signing with Standard Liege; however, the goalkeeper mentioned during his presentation at the Belgian club: "I have never paid attention to what people say. The truth is that I have always sought to pursue my career according to my desires and decisions. I am very happy with the trajectory I have in Europe."
