José María Villar is dismissed due to corruption.

The President of the Superior Council of Sports announced today the provisional suspension of Ángel María Villar as president of the Royal Spanish Football Federation (RFEF), while UEFA and FIFA, where he held both vice presidencies, will follow the same path. The Spanish leader is a personal friend of Manuel Burga, former president of the FPF, who is charged in the United States for the FIFA corruption scandal.

Ángel Maria Villar has been in jail since the 20th, accused of embezzlement, misappropriation, forgery of documents, and corruption among individuals. His son, Gorka Villar, and the first vice president of the Royal Spanish Football Federation and responsible for the Tenerife territorial federation, Juan Padrón, are also in jail.
