Mexican Archery Team Eliminated from World Archery Championships
Mexican archers Linda Ochoa, Rodolfo González, Aída Román, and Luis Álvarez were eliminated from the World Archery Championships in the mixed compound and recurve categories, respectively.
Ochoa and González advanced to the Quarterfinals in the compound category after defeating Turkey 154-153. In the next round, they lost 152-150 against Italy, thus bidding farewell to the World Championship.
In the recurve category, Román and 'Abuelo' Álvarez were defeated 5-3 by Great Britain in the Quarterfinals. They secured their spot in this round by winning 5-3 against Italy.
Following these two eliminations, Mexico will only have one Final on Sunday, October 22nd. The women's recurve team will compete for the gold medal in the Zócalo.
