Peruvian U-18 Volleyball Team Falls to Bulgaria in World Championship Debut

The Peruvian U-18 volleyball team fell to Bulgaria on Thursday in their debut in the current U-18 World Championship held in Egypt.

In a highly contested match, Natalia Málaga's team lost 3-2, with set scores of 23-25 (28 minutes), 25-17 (22 minutes), 25-23 (27 minutes), 19-25 (26 minutes), and 17-19 (20 minutes).

The national squad will be looking to bounce back in the tournament against Congo on Friday (8:00 a.m.), in a Group D matchup of the U-18 World Championship in Egypt.

In addition to Peru, Bulgaria, and Congo, Japan and Turkey are also part of Group D.
