The participation of the Peruvian women's volleyball team in the Lima 2019 Pan American Games was not the best
Because the team led by Francisco Hervás was eliminated on the first day after only achieving a victory against Canada and then losing to Colombia and the Dominican Republic.
Against this, the player Karla Ortíz accused the Peruvian Volleyball Federation (FPV) of not providing them with fields for training and not paying their salaries on time. In response, the FPV did not hesitate to issue a statement explaining each action that is taken in their institution.
In this statement, several topics were addressed, including the training venues for the players, salaries, and all the amenities provided by the FPV to the national athletes. It is worth mentioning that Ortiz's statements did not sit well with former volleyball players such as Natalia Málaga and Cenaida Uribe.
