The Pan American Games Lima 2019 will officially begin this Friday with the opening ceremony to be held at the National Stadium. However, some competitions will already be taking place starting on Wednesday.
According to the schedule of these Games, beach volleyball will be the sport in charge of starting the events. The group stage will begin at 9:00 am at the Costa Verde in San Miguel, and Peru will have two matches.
In the women's category, Lisbeth Allca and Alexandra Mendoza will play against the representatives of El Salvador at 1:10 pm; and in the men's category, the team formed by Bruno Seminario and Gabriel Vásquez will compete against the Dominican Republic starting at 2:50 pm.
Meanwhile, the national women's handball team will also face the Dominicans at 3:30 pm at the Polideportivo 1 in La Videna.
On Thursday, there will also be Peruvian participation in handball, bowling, softball, squash, and beach volleyball. And on Friday, in the morning, there will be competitions in figure skating, modern pentathlon, rugby 7, squash, and beach volleyball. The opening ceremony will begin at 6:00 pm.
