Peruvian Women's Volleyball Team Tops Cuba in Pan American Cup
After defeating Chile, the Peruvian Women's Volleyball Team faced a new opponent on the second date of the XVI Pan American Cup 2017. This time, the so-called 'killers' emerged victorious at the Eduardo Dibós Coliseum, located in the district of San Borja, by defeating Cuba 3-0, and maintaining a strong position in Group B with 10 points.
Although their rivals showed some resistance with each serve of the ball, they could do little against the energy and superiority of the girls led by Brazilian Luizomar de Moura. The bicolor team not only showed good tactics but also agility when responding to the back and forth of the ball, which created tension among the attending audience.
Carla Rueda would be one of the protagonists of the match, along with Ángela Leyva and Clarivett Yllescas. It is worth mentioning that the girls still remain as leaders of their group and will face the Trinidad and Tobago team on Monday, June 19th, in Lima for the third match of the tournament.
