The Nápoles Fans Apologize to Fabio Quagliarella

The Nápoles fans apologized to Fabio Quagliarella, former player of the Nápoles team, accusing him of being a 'traitor' for joining the archenemy club, Juventus.

However, the fans did not know that Quagliarella had been threatened by an Italian police officer, Raffaele Piccolo, accusing him of pedophilia and drug consumption.

"I was threatened with death, labeled as a pedophile, what I went through is something I wouldn't wish upon anyone," said the Sampdoria player to Italian television.

Nápoles took advantage of Juventus' interest in signing the Italian player to close the deal and make Fabio distance himself from the daily harassment he was experiencing in his hometown.

After the true reasons for his departure became known, Nápoles fans displayed a banner last weekend that read: "In the hell you lived in, immense dignity. We will hug you again, Fabio. Son of this city".
