Perfect Execution
Those two words have been the foundation of the Mayas' preparation in this LFA season. Every down, every play, and every point will be marked by this premise.
After the crushing performance of the blanquiazules against Condors in matchday 2, where they set Liga records for points scored (64) and point differential (48), the team coached by Ernesto Alfaro will have their first matchup against one of the two LFA expansion teams, the Dinos de Saltillo.
Based on what has been shown in their first two games, it can be seen that the jurassic team is strong and explosive in their offensive game and has the weapons to score many points. This resembles the Mayas' offensive display, where they can score quickly and with versatility, whether it be through passing or running.
"That is a possible scenario (seeing a high-scoring game). A game where we practically go back and forth (offensive series). We have seen the scout and they have very explosive offenses; (Dinos) handles their ground attack very well, but their aerial attack is very dangerous, their quarterback is very good, just like their receivers and runners. That will balance things," said Mayas' quarterback Marco García when asked about the expectations for the game.
This is why the preparation of the LFA champions during this week has been pushed to the physical and strategic limits, and the architect of the powerful aerial attack of the Blue Empire, the receivers coach José Vivas, does not want to leave anything to chance, as he is aware of the danger posed by the northerners.
"We have focused on preparing the game, on working better on the details that we lacked in the previous game, and what we want is perfect execution. We don't want to fail," pointed out the coach.
