The 15-year-old participated in the youth category, white belt, featherweight to conquer the golden medal.

On his way, he faced Joel Félix, whom he defeated with an armbar, despite his opponent's initial advantage.

In the final, he prevailed over Diego Hernández, despite his initial advantage with scores of 6-4 and 2-2.
