WE RECOMMEND: 'Checo' Pérez ends sponsorship with Hawkers.
In previous months, the Force India driver ended his sponsorship with the sunglasses brand Hawkers, after they posted a mocking message towards Mexicans and Trump's wall on Twitter.
"Mexicans, wear these sunglasses so that your swollen eyes won't be noticeable tomorrow during the wall's construction," was the tweet that caused the split with the Mexican driver.
"What an awful comment, today I ended my relationship with @HawkersMX. I will never allow anyone to make fun of my country! #MexicoUnited."
The Autódromo Hermanos Rodríguez and the organization of the Mexican Grand Prix promote the campaign #BridgesNotWalls on their social media platforms. The race will take place on October 29, 2017.
