Call for applications for the Ojuela Bridge Race.

In La Laguna, the call for the 7 and 10K Ojuela Bridge athletic race was launched.

In La Laguna, the call for the 7 and 10K Ojuela Bridge athletic race was launched.

Carreras Laguna, in coordination with the Municipality of Mapimí, Durango and the company "Mapimí and Ojuela Tourist S.P.R.", is preparing for the XIII edition of the 10K and 7K Ojuela Bridge Athletic Race, which will take place on Sunday, February 12.

In the 10 kilometers, the top three places in each category will be awarded and there will be rehydration at kilometers 3, 5, 8 and at the finish line.

Alfredo Alemán Baños, director of Carreras Laguna, informed this. He mentioned that the call is already circulating in the Comarca and its surroundings, with the purpose of gathering more than a thousand participants.

The start of the 10 kilometers will be at 9:00 am in the Main Square of Mapimí, Durango, and for the 7K the starting point will be at the junction of the road to the Ojuela Bridge. Both distances will end at the tourist complex esplanade.

The categories for the 10K are: Open (up to 29 years old), Submaster (30 to 39 years old), Master (40 to 49 years old), Veterans (50 to 59 years old), Veterans Plus (60 years old and older), Runners from Mapimí (any age, born and residents). All in male and female.

There are no categories for the 7K, it is open for participation in both genders.

Registrations are available at the Venustiano Carranza Forest with 'Yayo', from Monday to Saturday from 8:00 am to 11:00 am and from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm.

Also at Innova Sport in Torreón, Gómez Palacio, and Durango City. In Mapimí, they are open at the entrance of the Ojuela Bridge from 9:00 am to 6:00 pm, as well as at the DIF of Bermejillo.

The cost of the registration fee is 180 pesos, a payment that entitles to a competitor package with chip loan, Dry Fit shirt, number, finalist medal, transportation to the race location, recovery kit, meal at the end of the race, and the right to participate in the raffle of items.

The number pick-up will take place on Saturday, February 11, from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm at the Venustiano Carranza Forest.

There are no categories for the 7K, it is open for participation in both genders.

Runners will be able to know their times and print their time certificate starting at 3:00 pm on Sunday, February 12. All finishers' times will be published at the finish line.

The buses will depart at 6:30 am from the Venustiano Carranza Forest, in front of the Runners Club, on Juan Pablos street, as well as from the Municipal Presidency of Gómez Palacio at 6:30 am.
