12,000 spectators attend Del Potro vs. Ferrer exhibition match in Mar del Plata

Fueron 12 mil los espectadores que se presentaron en el estadio Polideportivo Islas Malvinas de la ciudad de Mar del Plata (Argentina) para el partido de exhibición entre Juan Martín del Potro y David Ferrer, en donde la conocida "Torre de Tandil" se impuso por 6-4 y 7-5.

"Thank you for sharing this dream year with me. I like the possibility of closing it in Mar del Plata, near my hometown. Love you all and see you in 2017," said Del Potro at the end of the match.

"In the most unexpected year of my life, I won a medal and the long-awaited Davis Cup for my country. I can't ask for more," he stressed.

It is worth mentioning that Juan Martín Del Potro has already announced that he will not compete in the Australian Open, the first Grand Slam of the upcoming year (2017).
