Great moments of anguish were experienced by the first firefighters to come to the aid of the passengers of the plane accident in Colombia, where several players from the Brazilian club Chapecoense died.

The TN channel published a fragment of the conversation between a commander who was at the scene and the base in Medellín, where an agitated rescue worker can be heard pleading for help to expedite the search for survivors.

Here is the conversation:

Commander: "We need urgent support"

Base: "5-4, commander, 5-4, please have patience, let's try to control the situation, let's collaborate as much as possible with the rescue units. We are already coordinating here with the municipality for the arrival there, likewise here in Medellín, other units will be sent there, we just need to be patient, commander."

Commander: "Here is the rescue personnel, Union Firefighters. There is personnel asking for help in the high part, the plane is completely destroyed, there are dead people."

Base: "The important thing, commander, is to let them know that the rescue units are already there, to reassure the people, to tell them that we are already collaborating and that we will support them, that is what is important. We are making the arrangements to send more support to them."
