The son of the Chapecoense coach forgot his passport and could not travel to the final
The son of the Chapecoense coach, Matheus Saroli, wanted to go with his father, Caio Júnior, to the final of the Copa Sudamericana. Caio Júnior traveled with his team to Medellin, Colombia to face Atlético Nacional. However, Matheus could not make the trip because he forgot his passport.
Saroli wrote on his social media, "I was in Sao Paulo and I did not board the plane because I forgot my passport." He also asked for privacy for his family and himself and thanked everyone for their messages.
Here is Saroli's full message:
"Friends, my brother, my mother, and I are fine. We need strength, but please give us some privacy, especially my mother. I appreciate all the messages. I was in Sao Paulo today and I did not board because I had forgotten my passport. We are strong and we will get through this. Thank you all."
