Carlos Bacca, Milan's forward, took advantage of not being called up for the match against Empoli and traveled to Spain to witness his former team Sevilla's 2-1 victory over Valencia. However, his current coach Vincenzo Montella did not take it very well and sarcastically referred to the Colombian's lightning trip.
"I knew Bacca would be in Sevilla. He had permission from the club. On his day off he can do whatever he wants. I hope he enjoyed the match in Sevilla, we had a lot of fun in Empoli," said Montella when asked in a press conference about his player's situation.
The 30-year-old player was at the Sanchez Pizjuan stadium just when his current team beat Empoli 4-1 in the 14th round of Serie A. On the other hand, Bacca visited his former teammates from Sevilla on Monday during the training session led by Argentine Jorge Sampaoli.
Fun Fact: The 'Chacal' suffered a muscle overload in his right leg two rounds ago in the Milan derby against Inter (2-2), which he couldn't finish, and last week his club announced that he would undergo further medical tests to determine the extent of his physical problem.
