After living a tournament with many ups and downs, America's Eagles managed to defeat their archrival and are now in the semifinals, getting closer to winning the championship in their Centennial tournament.

Since Ricardo Antonio La Volpe took the helm at Coapa, America has generated many doubts regarding the team's performance. Despite all the questions, Moisés Muñoz, goalkeeper of the Eagles, recognized that the squad has been improving and that this match, along with the first leg, have been the best since the Argentine strategist arrived at the helm.

"We are getting better every time, we have adapted better to Ricardo's system, and as time goes by, we are showing a better face. I think that of all the time we have had with Ricardo, the match in Mexico against Chivas and this one have been among the best we have had," highlighted the American goalkeeper.

For Muñoz, the defensive sector was the transcendent factor for them to qualify for the semifinals. The Michoacan player highlighted that maintaining a clean sheet has been a point on which the coach has emphasized, and achieving it generates a lot of confidence in the dressing room.

"The fact of conceding only one goal in two matches leaves us very calm, it speaks of our defensive strength (...) we have definitely had much more order in defense, we are adapting well to what Ricardo wants in our back line, and I think that is an important part in giving our teammates peace of mind, knowing that with one goal, we can win the match," commented Muñoz.
