Japhet Amador becomes the champion of the Home Run Derby in the Mexican Pacific League

With a total of 37 home runs in three rounds, Japhet Amador, the slugger of Jalisco Charros, became the champion of the Home Run Derby in the Mexican Pacific League (LMP) by defeating Leo Heras from Obregon Yaquis in the final.

After surpassing the preliminary phase and the semifinal, the "Giant of Mulege" faced the "Kid" and managed to surpass him with 11 home runs to 10, numbers that were enough for the Jalisco batter to show his dominance.

In the preliminary phase, Amador left Yadir Drake from Los Mochis Caneros behind, but the greatest display of power from the "Little Cub" came in the semifinal round, where he hit 17 home runs in four minutes to defeat Cyle Hankerd from Mazatlan Venados, who only managed to hit 6.

On the other hand, Leo Heras showed courage by having close duels in the batter's box. To surpass the preliminary phase, the "Kid" defeated Jose Amador from Hermosillo Naranjeros seven to six. Then, in the semifinal, Heras overcame Quincy Latimore from Navojoa Mayos.

The former outfielder of Jalisco Charros was the first to reach the final by defeating Latimore eight to seven, but in the decisive game, Japhet Amador did not give him any respite and snatched the glory in front of his fans.
