Miguel Herrera violated the General Competition Regulations again
Miguel Herrera once again violated the General Competition Regulations when he appeared at the press conference after Xolos' elimination from the Quarterfinals by Club Leon at Estadio Caliente.
'Piojo' was expelled by Luis Enrique Santander in the 7th minute for arguing with the refereeing team during the match; during the press conference, he called the linesman Jose Luis Camargo "frustrated" because "he wanted to be the main referee and ended up as a linesman".
This is not the first time in this tournament that the Xolos coach has attended the press conference after being expelled, as he did the same thing in the defeat against America at the Coloso de Santa Ursula.
THIS IS WHAT THE REGULATIONS SAY
Technical Director's Work area - Article 70
At the end of the match, the technical directors and/or assistant coaches who occupy the position of the technical director due to a justified absence are obliged to attend the press conference, which, in accordance with the protocol, must be held at the end of a match, under penalty of being sanctioned in accordance with the provisions of the Sanctions Regulations.
This provision does not apply to technical directors and/or assistant coaches who have been expelled from the match, so in such cases they will not attend said press conference, and must remain in the dressing rooms or on the team bus.
