Fidel Castro was the last great revolutionary leader of the 20th century, and in nearly 50 years of government in Cuba, reels and reels of archives with postcards were accumulated, from Ernesto 'Che' Guevara to Pope Francis; however, there were a couple of sports figures who have memorable moments.
WE RECOMMEND: Fidel Castro died at the age of 90.
GREAT CHALLENGE
Muhammad Ali, in March 1996, visited Cuba as a standard-bearer for a humanitarian campaign by the International Red Cross, an image captured by Hazel Hankin; "hit me here, give it to me," an anecdote that the photographer revealed to BBC Mundo in June 2016.
In Hazel's postcard, you can see the precise moment of the famous challenge between the father of the Cuban revolution and the American boxer, both with a relaxed and smiling expression, like a couple of friends who decided, why not, to meet and exchange words, and a couple of punches.

WHEN MARADONA INTERVIEWED FIDEL
Diego Armando has always been characterized by his combative, rebellious, and revolutionary personality, and what better than to have an encounter with precisely the father of a Cuban revolution among his bohemian stories. 'El Pelusa' embraced a physically deteriorated Fidel, who, despite his evident difficulty in speaking due to his advanced age, dedicated minutes to the World Cup champion with Argentina in the 1986 edition.
"Thank you, Diego, for your words, I have been waiting for you since your visit was announced; I never imagined seeing you interviewing, always talking about football and your stories, although we always had a very good relationship and friendship".
