Joaquin Moreno achieves his first victory as coach of Cruz Azul

In his second match as interim coach, Joaquin Moreno achieved his first victory as coach of Cruz Azul, defeating Pachuca 2-1. The coach recognized that although this win doesn't serve the objective of reaching the playoffs, it is beneficial for their standing.

He stated, "It means a lot. We have many games left to play. We knew that these three points distance us from the relegation zone, but more than that, it is about the players' self-esteem, their desire to bring about a change, and that is commendable," said Moreno.

Cruz Azul will close the tournament against Club Leon, which will be Moreno's last match in charge of La Maquina; regardless of the result, Moreno is aware that the final decision on whether he continues as the coach of Cruz Azul for the next tournament will be made by the club's management.

"The decision will be made by the management if they consider that I can contribute, whether they put me in charge of the U-20 team or not. They will surely analyze it," he concluded.
