Recognitions and Trophies at the First Season of the Youth Baseball League of La Laguna

Last weekend at the Palapa of Nuevo San Isidro, the recognitions and trophies were awarded to the most outstanding teams and players of the Youth Baseball League of La Laguna.

Tomás Agüero Rodríguez, sponsor of the League and the Zacatecas Jr. team, Raúl Valverde López, president of the League, Roxana Trujillo Hernández, secretary of the League, and Alberto Martínez Gallegos, treasurer, were also present.

A large number of children attended the event accompanied by their parents to witness this important moment in the competition, all within a festive and friendly environment.

The awards ceremony started with the youngest category, in the following order:

Category 9-10

All-Star Game Awards

• Baserunning: José Carrillo de Madero.
• Catcher's Throw to Second Base: Santiago Rodiles de Águilas de San Isidro.
• Fielder's Throw to Home: Rafael Hernández de Orioles.

Individual Leaders

• Batting Champion: Jorge Luis Lechuga de Águilas with .629 average.
• Runs Batted In: Giovanny Vargas de Orioles "10" with 26 RBIs.
• Home Runs: Giovanny Vargas de Orioles "10" with 6 HRs.
• Most Games Won as a Pitcher: Jorge del Río de Águilas de San Isidro.
• Hits Champion: Jairo Vázquez de Orioles.

Carlos Lozano Ramírez "El Calili" also received a recognition for his 50 years of experience in baseball and in the development of young players.

After the awards ceremony, some exhibition games were held at the fields of Nuevo San Isidro. Next weekend, the Christmas mini-tournament will start and will end on December 15th of this year.
