Carlos Hermosillo explains the reasons behind the protest
After calling on fans to gather this Saturday at Estadio Azul dressed in black, Carlos Hermosillo explained in a telephone interview for La Afición that he took this measure to be able to express the discontent of the celestial fans in a peaceful way.
"All I did was retake a tweet from a fan. I believe that during these five seasons in which we have not qualified, there have been complaints after complaints. I think it is a very good protest to be able to go to the stadium to demonstrate in a healthy and peaceful way, dressed in black. To make the board understand that they also need to renew themselves."
Cruz Azul has gone 19 years without a title and has not qualified for the playoffs in five tournaments, so the historic goal scorer of La Máquina questioned the current management in a very respectful way and emphasized that it is important for the top officials to take action, considering that despite the arrival and departure of players, coaches, and sports directors, the situation does not seem to improve.
"Shouldn't a deeper analysis be done to find out where the real problem lies? Because they have changed everything and every day it gets worse. The team is already close to relegation, I don't think it will be relegated, but the possibility exists."
Hermosillo will attend this peaceful demonstration when Cruz Azul faces Pachuca this Saturday.
