Attitude of Tomás Boy Damages Image of Liga MX: President

The attitude of Tomás Boy, coach of Cruz Azul, in the match last Saturday against Morelia, in the 13th round of the Apertura 2016 Tournament, damages the image of Liga MX, acknowledged its president, Enrique Bonilla.

In the final minutes of said match, Boy took out his wallet and gestured towards the referee's team, alluding that they had been financially benefited to help the Michoacan team.

"Yes, definitely (damages the image). Obviously, in our league, we do not like those types of actions. Cruz Azul will take action on the matter, the necessary measures," he assured.

In this sense, he explained that the Disciplinary Commission of the Mexican Football Federation (FMF) will also "take the appropriate measures and I am sure that little by little we will eliminate these types of attitudes from our football."

He ruled out that Liga MX will make a recommendation to the Cruz Azul team, considering that "Cruz Azul is a very serious institution, which does not need that type of recommendation from us."

"They have always conducted themselves correctly, so it is not prudent for Liga MX to make a reprimand to such a serious club as Cruz Azul at this time," he pointed out.

On the other hand, regarding the message that Ulices Briceño, forward of Venados from the Ascenso MX, made before the match against Lobos BUAP, in which he requested the fans to refrain from the chant "¡ehhh puuuto!" against the opposing goalkeeper, he indicated that it was something that should be recognized.

"It is a noble gesture by Club Venados, it is something that we must take into great consideration and that we appreciate from Liga MX and that we will analyze."
