This weekend, the facilities of the Icedome will host the first phase of the Pre-Olympic Women's Hockey tournament towards Pyeongchang 2018, where Mexico will face its counterparts from Hong Kong and Turkey in a round robin.
Only one team will advance to the next round, which will take place in November in Kazakhstan, so the Mexican team must defeat its two opponents, who, according to Joquín de la Grama, President of the Mexican Hockey Federation, "are teams from countries very similar to ours, we have already beaten them but they are not easy".
