Hard match between Pumas CU and Linces, the polytechnic classic between Burros and Águilas and the victory of Auténticos Tigres that ends the undefeated streak of Águilas from the Autonomous University of Chihuahua, were the most interesting matches of Week 5 of the Major League.
Two interceptions, a blocked extra point by Emmanuel Robles Ramos and a magnificent defensive play by Jerónimo Arzate were the keys that gave Pumas CU the victory at home against Linces who didn't want to be defeated. The final score was 17 - 13 in favor of the University team.
Wilfrido Massieu Stadium witnessed a maroon-colored celebration. Águilas Blancas prevailed 48 - 35 against Burros Blancos. The match was totally offensive from both sides, which was reflected in the score by accumulating so many points. Although Burros Blancos were the first to score, Águilas Blancas came out victorious from the Polytechnic duel.
On the other hand, Auténticos showed their superiority against the previously undefeated team of Águilas from the Autonomous University of Chihuahua by defeating them 35 - 18 at Gaspar Mass Stadium. The match was defined by a wonderful offensive and defensive performance by the Auténticos Tigres.
