NFL 2016 Kickoff
The kickoff of the NFL 2016 will take place on Thursday, September 8, a rematch game. The current champions, the Denver Broncos, will host the Carolina Panthers, hungry for victory.
The opening game will be held at the University of Phoenix Stadium. After the Super Bowl, the orange fans continue to celebrate the championship.
The Panthers' coach, Ron Rivera, assured that his team is preparing to face a complete Broncos lineup, regardless of who is substituting for the quarterback position left by Peyton Manning after winning the Vince Lombardi Trophy. The Broncos announced that second-year passer Trevor Siemian will be their starter.
On the other hand, Coach Rivera asserted that his focus is on the team's playing style and not only on the man who is directing the opposing squad's ship.
The season opener will feature various family activities. These activations will include interactive games, test fields - throws, tackles, and speed - autograph sessions with former orange players, and the highlight of the event, the opportunity to take photos with the Vince Lombardi Trophy.
The autograph sessions will take place over two days and will feature retired Broncos players such as Steve Atwater, Champ Bailey, John Lynch, Rod Smith, Clinton Portis, among others.
On the other hand, one of the most anticipated events of the night will be the free concert offered by Dierks Bentley and One Republic a few hours before the NFL 2016 kickoff.
