Arsenal Employee Resigns After Wenger's Comments

The Premier League season has just begun and things are already looking complicated for Arsenal. One of the staff members at the Emirates Stadium has resigned, and the reason is impressive.

Following the draw against Leicester City, Gunners coach Arsene Wenger commented on the lack of reinforcements. According to the French coach, it's difficult to pay a staff of 600 people and have money to sign new players.

This didn't sit well with the fans, and now we know it didn't sit well with the employees either. The reaction from one of the workers was to resign "to stop being a burden for the team." In addition, he made his resignation letter public.

"Dear Jason Savage,

Please accept my resignation letter.

I am an avid supporter of this club, and it pains me to inform you that I am resigning from my position at Arsenal. Please accept this two weeks' notice. My last day will be September 9th, 2016.

I have enjoyed my two years working at the Arsenal store. As a fan, it has been a dream to work for the team I love.

My decision to leave is due to Arsene Wenger's comments about the staff after the draw with Leicester City. Blaming the need to pay 600 people working here for not buying players.

I earn £7.20 per hour and work 37.5 hours a week. I earn £270 per week, and over 52 weeks, that's £14,040 per year. Theo Walcott earns 10 times that amount per week.

I hope that with my departure, the club can free up budget for Wenger to buy more players.

I will no longer be a burden to this team."

Although we doubt that the money he is saving the team will be enough to hire a new player, this gentleman's intentions are very good.

First, he gives Wenger a slap in the face, and second, he leaves the team of his dreams on a high note.

Now, with just one week left in the transfer market, we will see if Arsenal makes any moves or sticks with the current squad.
