LAKE MARY, Fla. – Lake Mary is headed to the Little League World Series!
The Lake Mary Little League All-Stars on Tuesday defeated Tennessee 11-0 to win the Southeast Region and advance to Williamsport, Pennsylvania.
Lake Mary, which had 12 hits on the day, jumped out to a quick 5-0 lead in the first inning, scoring its remaining six runs in the fourth.
Pitcher JJ Feliciano threw the shutout, allowing only two hits.
Lake Mary went undefeated in the regional, held in Warner Robins, Georgia, posting a 4-0 record.
The World Series is scheduled to run from Aug. 14-25.
