The Leicester City, the reigning Premier League champion, has announced this Friday the signing of Nigerian international forward Ahmed Musa for £16 million ($18.7 million), a club record.
About the Player. Musa, 23, who was also sought after by Southampton, Everton, and West Ham, arrives at King Power Stadium from CSKA Moscow on a contract for the next four seasons.
The African, who joined the Russian capital team in 2012 (168 matches, 12 goals), becomes the fourth addition to the 'foxes' for the 2016/2017 season, following German goalkeeper Ron-Robert Zieler, Spanish defender Luis Hernández, and French midfielder Nampalys Mendy.
The word. "I am very happy to join Leicester City, one of the best clubs out there. I decided to come because it is one of the top teams in the Premier League, and here everyone is like a big family," said Musa.
"I am looking forward to meeting the fans and I will do everything I can to make them happy with me," continued the Nigerian in a statement to his new club's website.
