Carlos Zambrano
Carlos Zambrano left Eintrach Frankfurt with his head held high. The Peruvian, as captain, left the German team in the Bundesliga, after overcoming the playoffs against Nuremberg. The defender's destination is now in Russia.
Just off the plane, the first thing the Peruvian did after settling in was to be warmly welcomed by the club's executives and had his first words as a new player for Rubin Kazan.
"The staff welcomed me very warmly. My future teammates are good, there is a very good atmosphere in the team. I will try to please the fans, I will do my best to help the team achieve results and show good play. What do I know about the Russian championship? I can't say that I know much about it, but soon I will. Salomón Rondón and Nelson Haedo Valdez have passed through this football."
On the other hand, Ilgiz Fakhriev had nothing but praise for the Peruvian, who has arrived at the Russian club to be a starter. Carlos Zambrano's commitment and leadership are highlighted.
"A very skilled football player, one of the top defenders in the Bundesliga, very tough, uncompromising leader of his team. We expect his leadership and quality of play," he said.
