The bad news has arrived for the New York Jets, as they will lose quarterback Aaron Rodgers for the rest of the season, after it was confirmed that he ruptured his Achilles tendon during the Monday Night Football game against the Buffalo Bills; according to local media reports.
"Not the way any of us wanted it to go, but we know the commitment you've made to this team will continue to impact us moving forward.
Get well soon, Aaron Rodgers," the Jets wrote on social media.

How did Aaron Rodgers get injured?
Rodgers, 39 years old and four-time NFL MVP, was the star signing for the Jets ahead of this season, after the quarterback shone for the Green Bay Packers from 2005 to 2022.
However, his debut with the Jets lasted only a few seconds. In the first play, he collided with Leonard Floyd and ended up lying on the ground visibly in pain.
He had to be helped off the field at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey.
The former Packers player had missed his only attempted pass.
The experienced passer was assisted by the medical staff on the field and was taken to the locker room on a stretcher. When he got off, he returned to the locker room walking, but visibly limping due to a problem with his left ankle.
