Sage Steele isn’t done talking about her time at ESPN, telling Jesse Watters that others were “silenced” during her time at the network as well.
During a Tuesday appearance on Jesse Watters Primetime she talked about how it was time to move on.
“I wasn’t the only one who felt silenced, who felt scared,” she said. “I mean, some of us would literally whisper in the corner or even in the bathroom and talk about, hey, we can’t say this too loud.
Steele goes on to say that only certain opinions were allowed to be discussed.
“Not just in the studio or in the green room or the makeup room, but on social media, on ESPN platforms. And I think that’s all I ever wanted. And that’s kind of what the suit was about, was consistency. What are the rules? Let’s make them clear and make sure everybody follows them, not just the people that fit a certain narrative.”
Last month, Steele visited the Alabama football team, and the program’s social media account posted photos from Steele’s visit.
“What is your Why? Thank you, Sage Steele for sharing your ‘Why’ with Alabama football,” the tweet said.
She appeared on SiriusXM’s “The Megyn Kelly Show” days after settling her lawsuit with the network last week for a revealing discussion with the late Barbara Walters as a guest on “The View” in 2014. Walters took issue with Steele referring to herself as biracial instead of “Black.”
