Luis Rubiales surprised the General Assembly of the Spanish Football Federation (RFEF) on Friday by announcing that he is not resigning from his position, as he communicated to his close circle yesterday, and denounced that in his case a "social assassination" is taking place due to what happened after the final of the Women's World Cup. This event has led Borja Iglesias, forward of Real Betis, to announce on his social networks that he has made the decision not to return to the Spanish national team after learning of Rubiales' decision.
"Wearing the Spanish national team's jersey is one of the greatest things that has happened to me in my career. I don't know if I will be an option again at some point, but I have made the decision not to return to the national team until things change and these types of acts do not go unpunished," says the Galician footballer.
