A new German production on Netflix is causing a sensation among millions of platform subscribers. We are talking about a science fiction film titled 'Paradise' that was released last July and is now among the most searched. Do you want to know what it's about?
Please note that the film stars actors Kstja Ullmann, Corinna Kirchhoff, and Iris Berben, and is directed by Boris Kunz, who created a dystopian future very similar to Black Mirror in the movie that is topping the charts on the platform of the big letter N.
What is 'Paradise' about?
In the future created by the film, people can sell their years for money, and a company called EAEN specializes in that. Its main seller is Max, who is married to Elena and they have a dream life in a luxury apartment.
However, everything changes when their property catches fire and they have a million-dollar debt with the bank, who charges 40 years of Elena's life. At that moment, Max wishes to do everything possible to help her get her life back.
"Max and Elena have an almost perfect life. But after finding out that they must cover insurance claims they did not consider (and cannot pay for), and she has to sell 40 years of her life, everything changes in a second," reads the official synopsis shared by Netflix.
Final explained of Paradise
In the final part of 'Paradise', the anti-AEON ADAM group takes Marie, Max, and Elena as hostages. They oppose all age-changing procedures and hope to attract Sophie (AEON's dreamer) and put an end to that business. Meanwhile, Elena takes Marie as a hostage and takes her to Lithuania where a doctor transfers four decades of Marie's life to Elena. Max feels uncomfortable and decides to leave her for the new boss of ADAM.
