One of the series that has attracted the most attention in recent days is "Twisted Metal," the show that brings the iconic PlayStation video game from the mid-90s to real life. And although initially, few believed in this project, it gradually gained popularity and good reviews from both franchise fans and the diverse Internet audience.
As a result, thousands of fans of this production have sought to learn more details about its future, eagerly awaiting news about the second season, which will bring back the various characters we have seen, including the standout "Sweet tooth". In that sense, the director of this live-action has presented more information on the subject, leaving more than one person discouraged by his statements. What did he say?

"Twisted Metal" and its excellent reviews
Even though its premiere went unnoticed on July 27th, after going viral on social media and having a sober but effective campaign, "Twisted Metal" achieved the unthinkable: gaining public approval.
This was reflected in the average statistics it generated, with a 94% acceptance among the audience and 68% positive opinions on Rotten Tomatoes, as well as an average rating of 53% on Metacritic, which, we could say is acceptable, considering that live-action productions rarely win over fans.
Will there be a second season of "Twisted Metal"?
Unfortunately, the future of the show inspired by the vehicle combat survival game is still uncertain, as explained by its showrunner Michael Jonathan Smith, who, like the other fans, is in doubt.
"Unfortunately, we have no idea if a season 2 will happen, something that is further complicated by the strike. But I would love to make more (of course)," emphasized the director of "Twisted Metal" when asked by a fan who had hopes of seeing Anthony Mackie return for a second season.
Evidently, the strike of writers and actors that Hollywood is currently experiencing has been an abrupt halt for the various productions that were planned for the coming months, to the point that series and movies have chosen to postpone their releases until 2025 and even have an uncertain fate.
