The Eighth Day of the Elite League presented a spectacular main event, in which the law of universal gravitation was put to the test. The reigning middleweight Elite monarch, Carístico, faced the young wonder Máscara Dorada, a consignment was agreed upon in the ring as a principle of kings of the air: gravity is synonymous with defeat. Every time two aerodynamic experts face each other, two things are at stake: the pride of knowing oneself to be the best and, of course, the ego of being the favorite in style.
The fight started at a fast pace, the speed of both gladiators marked golden trails on the ropes. Máscara Dorada was the first to shine on the third rope with a forward somersault. Carístico, ashamed of this first tactical challenge, performed the same move to the delight of the audience. The tapatío suicide performer executed the first barrage of spectacular actions, while Carístico tried to counter the atmospheric pressure of his rival with similar moves.
Máscara Dorada, faithful to his custom, surprised with his classic suicide moves, to which Carístico responded at the same level of acrobatics. Soon the athletes felt the fatigue, the speed with which the actions had been performed took its toll on them. Exhausted, they began to perform the macabre dance of applause, the audience gave themselves to Máscara Dorada. Motivated by the roar of the thousand-headed monster, Dorada climbed the mountain to perform an inverted somersault, in the center of the ring stakes awaited him.
In this thrilling duel, the tragedy was repeated three times, in a biblical style of wrestling, the young tapatío succumbed to the delirium of applause, even the gods succumbed to vanity. Dorada climbed the third rope three times and on each occasion Carístico awaited him with a counter-attack. In this way, Máscara Dorada began to fall into a frenzied and unhinged attempt to defeat his rival at all costs, and in this compulsion he lost sight of the landing strip.
In the final moments, at the crucial moment when an error can cost the entire fight, Carístico was surrendering in the rope play to Máscara Dorada, who applied a powerful suplex from the third rope on the former seminarian with white eyes. Dorada, seeing that his rival was in the perfect position for a resounding victory, decided to finish with a supreme action: he sought the ropes again and, when bouncing off them, Carístico was already waiting for him with the helicopter blades to dislocate him. The mystique landed on the comet with the golden hood.
