In the United States, every month, retired workers, survivors, and those receiving benefits from the Supplemental Security Income (SSI) program and Social Security Disability Insurance (SSDI) receive a payment to provide them with economic support.

This money is provided by the Social Security Administration (SSA). Therefore, July cannot be the exception to that rule that benefits so many people. Payment schedule for July

• 1st: SSI beneficiaries.
• 3rd: Beneficiaries who started receiving their payments before May 1997.
• 12th: Beneficiaries with a birthdate between the 1st and 10th day of the month.
• 19th: Beneficiaries with a birthdate between the 11th and 20th day of the month.
• 26th: Beneficiaries with a birthdate between the 21st and 31st day of the month.

Social Security checks: payment dates from August to December 2023

SSI benefits are sent the first few days of each month. However, if the first day of the month falls on a weekend, that is, Saturday or Sunday, the payments will be forwarded to the last Friday of the previous month, as is the case for the payments in July, October, and January 2024.

According to the schedule, these are the payment dates for Social Security checks for the remaining months of 2023:

September

• 1st: SSI beneficiaries and beneficiaries who started receiving their payments before May 1997.
• 13th: Beneficiaries with a birthdate between the 1st and 10th day of the month.
• 20th: Beneficiaries with a birthdate between the 11th and 20th day of the month.
• 27th: Beneficiaries with a birthdate between the 21st and 31st day of the month.

October

• 29th: SSI beneficiaries (October payment).
• 3rd: Beneficiaries who started receiving their payments before May 1997.
• 11th: Beneficiaries with a birthdate between the 1st and 10th day of the month.
• 18th: Beneficiaries with a birthdate between the 11th and 20th day of the month.
• 25th: Beneficiaries with a birthdate between the 21st and 31st day of the month.

November

• 1st: SSI beneficiaries.
• 3rd: Beneficiaries who started receiving their payments before May 1997.
• 8th: Beneficiaries with a birthdate between the 1st and 10th day of the month.
• 15th: Beneficiaries with a birthdate between the 11th and 20th day of the month.
• 22nd: Beneficiaries with a birthdate between the 21st and 31st day of the month.

December

• 1st: SSI beneficiaries and beneficiaries who started receiving their payments before May 1997.
• 13th: Beneficiaries with a birthdate between the 1st and 10th day of the month.
• 20th: Beneficiaries with a birthdate between the 11th and 20th day of the month.
• 27th: Beneficiaries with a birthdate between the 21st and 31st day of the month.
• 29th: SSI beneficiaries (January 2024 payment).

Why is the check delivery date different for each person?

This money is delivered in different batches, and the payment date depends on many factors that we will tell you below:

• Some SSI beneficiaries receive their payments the first few days of each month.
• Those who started receiving their payments from Social Security before May 1997 receive their benefits on the 3rd day of each month.
• The second Wednesday of the month, payments are sent to retirees with a birthdate between the 1st and 10th day of the month.
• The third Wednesday of the month, money is sent to beneficiaries born between the 11th and 20th day of the month.
• The fourth Wednesday of each month (July 26), payments are sent to those born between the 21st and 31st day of the month.
