The Administration of Social Security (SSA) in the United States provides monthly payments to a group of beneficiaries that includes retired workers, survivors, and those receiving disability benefits from the Supplemental Security Income (SSI) program and Social Security Disability Insurance (SSDI). It is important to note that SSI beneficiaries receive their payments on the first days of each month. On the other hand, those who started receiving their Social Security payments before May 1997 receive their benefits on the 3rd of each month.

Meanwhile, the rest of the Social Security checks are sent according to the beneficiaries' date of birth.

The second Wednesday of the month, payments are sent to retirees born between day 1 and 10.
The third Wednesday of the month, money is sent to beneficiaries born between day 11 and 20.
The fourth Wednesday of each month, payments are sent to those born between day 21 and 31.

Social Security checks: payment dates from July to December 2023

SSI benefits are sent on the first days of each month. However, if the first day of the month falls on a weekend, Saturday or Sunday, the payment will be sent on the last Friday of the previous month, as is the case for the payments in July, October, and January 2024.
