Peruvian César Vallejo defeated Magallanes from Chile 3-2 this Thursday in a match between eliminated teams for the fifth round of Group A of the Copa Sudamericana held in the city of Trujillo.
The goals for Vallejo's victory were scored by Aldair Fuentes at 3 minutes, Jairo Vélez at 35, and Yorleys Mena at 80. Carlos Villanueva scored for Magallanes at 42 and Yorman Zapata scored a penalty at 89.
Brazilian team Botafogo leads Group A with 9 points, followed by Liga de Quito with the same score but fewer goals scored. Vallejo and Magallanes, who have been eliminated, are in third and fourth place with 4 and 3 points respectively.
