The ingenious crossover of One Piece and Pokémon
Often, Eiichiro Oda takes the opportunity to answer questions from fans in a section of the compiled volumes known as "SBS." In one of the most recent ones, the mangaka confirmed that Pokémon and other manga exist in the world of One Piece.
"Books with drawings or illustrated stories exist in One Piece. They are just books with illustrations, but think of these stories as the manga of the world of One Piece," explained Oda.
Undoubtedly, the mangaka's statements are surprising for the entire fandom. Well, we finally know that both Luffy and his Nakamas recognize the existence of Pokémon in their universe through the manga.
What's even better, other famous titles are also part of the intricate lore. Some of them are: 'Sora, the Sea Warrior', 'Fire Dog', 'Monkey Ball', and 'Marco-san'. Hopefully, we will have many more surprises soon from the hand of Eiichiro Oda.
