A man from Louisiana, United States, posted a TikTok video where he shared details of the unusual discovery he recently made: some time ago, he was sold a "dog" that turned out to be a hyena. His story went viral with over 4 million views and generated all kinds of reactions.
Anxious to buy a puppy, the user, identified as @infared_savage, responded to an online post titled "bully breeder" that was selling a supposed American bully. He instantly fell in love with the dog and made a deposit to get it.
When the time came to meet his new pet, he noticed something strange about the dog and asked the seller, "Did you cut its ears or something? Are you sure it's a dog? That shit looks like a wombat?"
According to the man's account, the seller said yes and assured him, "It's a bully, man. I have the mom and dad in the back".
So, the breeder proceeded to show the "parents" of the animal, who showed no resemblance to the supposed dog. "I look at them and I look at my puppy," said the buyer about the experience.

"This guy gathered all the puppies... not puppies, orangutan-lizard-foxes all together and they're laughing, sounds like a bunch of rumors," the young man added.
The new owner of the dog tries to convince himself that "the puppy will grow up and look like" the two adult dogs that he had been told were its parents. So, he decided to name his new friend Nina.
"'Come here, Nina.' That damn dog looked at me and laughed," he recalled. "I was so scared, wondering why the hell it's laughing, and not just any animal laugh. It was human-like."
In the video, @infared_savage imitates the dog's laughter, making a sound similar to that of a hyena or the one made by the famous Scooby-Doo.
The seller was determined to make the sale by diminishing the buyer's concern, saying that the dog "will get over that phase, it's a Bully".
Upon arriving home, the "dog" let out a laugh similar to that of a hyena. "It burst out laughing and bit me on the leg, hard as hell, bro," the American man pointed out.
