The America fans have decided to pass judgment on the team's starting goalkeeper, Óscar Jiménez, based on his last two matches, where some specific mistakes have cost the team points. However, they forget what he had done in the previous eight matches, where he was instrumental in the team's victories. This is how some of the most renowned former goalkeepers in the capital's team see it.

In a conversation with ESPN, Adrián Chávez, Moisés Muñoz, and Adolfo Ríos talked about Jiménez's current situation. They recommended that he ignore the booing from the fans. Chávez was the most critical, stating that it is difficult to keep the fans satisfied, as the same thing happened to Guillermo Ochoa.

"What is more regrettable is that those America fans who two months ago asked for Memo Ochoa to leave and for Oscar to play now want him gone," he said.

On his part, Moisés admitted that Jiménez has made some mistakes in saves; however, he emphasized that "the saves he has made to earn points for América have been much more influential than his errors that have cost the team points."

Muñoz also pointed out that Luis Malagón has a lot of quality, and that could be a factor for fans to put pressure on Jiménez's position, something that could happen in the 11th match against Tigres.

Finally, Adolfo Ríos asks for patience for Jiménez and regrets that at the first sign of trouble, "he gets crucified" for his actions. He believes that benching him would only undermine the goalkeeper's confidence.
