What is the 600 Bonus for Homes of the Nation?
The 600 bolivars bonus is a completely discontinued bonus that is no longer distributed. As its name suggests, 600 bolivars (just over 20 dollars) were given and it had a great reception at the time. It was distributed through the Sistema Patria and its distribution has been completed, so you can no longer receive it.
Why did the 600 Bonus for Homes of the Nation become a trend?
This bonus became a trend again at the beginning of 2023. Why? It turns out that a video from 2018 has been leaked via WhatsApp, where President Nicolás Maduro stated that the Government would deliver the "Economic Reconversion Bonus" to 10 million people who were registered through the Sistema Patria, which has also been known as the 600 Bonus for Homes of the Nation. This payment was made in that year and is currently discontinued. A total of 600 bolivars, approximately 26.82 dollars according to the exchange rate of the Central Bank of Venezuela (BCV), was collected.
When was the 600 Bonus for Homes of the Nation distributed?
As mentioned before, this 600 bolivars bonus was distributed in 2018. Distribution began on August 17th of that year. The reason it was distributed back then was due to an economic reconversion, in an effort to avoid further inflation in the bolivar currency. At that time, Nicolás Maduro removed five zeros from the currency and called it the "sovereign bolivar". It was distributed through the Sistema Patria starting on August 20th, 2018, by scanning the Homeland Card using the VeQR application.
